“Therefore let your light shine before all men, so that they may see your good works and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
CCC’s Lighthouse Youth Ministry (LYM) exists, in alignment with our church’s mission, to lead young people to Christ and encourage opportunities for spiritual growth and discipleship. We believe that youth are an essential part of the Body and mission of Christ and we encourage young people to serve and worship alongside other generations within our congregation.
LYM’s mission is to equip and empower youth to become spiritually healthy young adults and contributing members of the Body of Christ. We do this through teaching, walking and loving.
6-8th grades and 9-12th grades meet every Sunday after worship to discuss sermon points and fellowship with other students and adult leaders.
6th-8th grades meet on Wednesday nights to receive a foundation in Christian Education and discipleship formation with our Lead Pastor and Youth Director.
9th-12th grades meet for Wednesday programming that includes a discussion on current events or an age-appropriate topic. Adult leaders help students wrestle with world issues with biblical responses.
Lighthouse Youth Ministry uses mentorship as an intentional tool to encourage youth to pursue life with Christ. Ultimately we would like to see caring adults walking and “doing life” together with each of our youth.
We mirror God’s love when we show up for young people and meet them wherever they are. This may include reaching out to young people through attending sporting events and plays, to sharing a meal and having a conversation with youth throughout the week.
