In the Community

For the Community

The Food Shelf is a vital ongoing ministry of Community Covenant Church.  The church comes together to provide personal care items and financial support in order to sustain the food shelf ministry.  Most of the food items are purchased from Second Harvest Heartland. The acts of generosity of our church family serve as a witness to each other, neighbors, and the community.

Every 3rd Wednesday of the month from 12:00 – 1:30 PM

Over a four-month period:
Number of family units served: 105
Total number of individuals served: 338
Number of pounds of food distributed: 3,091

Many volunteers help assemble and distribute food baskets at Thanksgiving.

Community Covenant Church has served the surrounding North Minneapolis community for over 50 years. Whether it is serving alongside community organizations, partnering with other Northside churches, or providing for our immediate community and neighbors, CCC is committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus to those around us.

 (Young Life)
More than 20 years ago, Young Life answered God’s call to run headfirst into the chaos of teenage motherhood with the hope of Jesus … and YoungLives was born.
YoungLives has never wavered from the original vision to reach teen moms by entering their world, modeling the unconditional love of Christ, and encouraging them to become the women and mothers God created them to be. Through YoungLives’ time-tested methods and life-on-life mentoring, teen moms are empowered to make positive choices, set and achieve goals, and live a future rooted in Christ.

Urban Homeworks
